Eligibility Criteria for BBA in Finance course

The eligibility criteria for the BBA in Finance course in Indian colleges are as follows:

  • The candidate must have passed their 10+2 education from a recognized school or institution.
  • They must hold an SSC degree or provisional certificate from an acknowledged authority, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), etc.
  • An aggregate of 50% or above in their 12th standard examination.
  • While submitting their entrance examination scores, it is essential to meet the cut-off score condition of the college. Although entrance exam scores are not a necessary part of the admissions process, students can use them to achieve a competitive edge in case of limited seats for full-time and part-time courses. 
  • Additionally, they must have the following issued by their school and attested by degree-granting authority: 
  1. Leaving Certificate (LC)
  2. Migration Certificate (MC), and 
  3. Character Certificate (CC)

They must present original transcripts of all three certificates.

Admission Criteria for BBA in Finance Course

As mentioned earlier, few colleges give admission purely on the merit list of the 10+2 class marks. However, a few universities take the joint entrance test for admission to BBA in Finance. Based on the test, a merit list is prepared, and candidates are admitted exclusively based on the merit of the entrance exam.

Admissions to the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance exams are carried out at both –

  2. State-level tests are conducted in the country

Direct Admission

Few private colleges also offer direct admission to the BBA in Finance course based on their management seats. The candidate must note that the fee structure of management quota seats is higher than the normal admission.

Lateral Entry

Many colleges provide direct admission in the second year to the students who apply for the BBA Finance after they are done with their first year in the UG program. It is expected that candidates submit their attested marks statement. And if the student passes the first year of the UG program and has 75% of the same syllabus, then he is eligible to get direct admission in the second year.

 The entrance exam for BBA in Finance course includes: 

  1. The institutes will conduct general aptitude tests. This shall be divided into four major sections:
  2. Quantitative Ability
  3. Reasonability and Analytical ability
  4. General English and Business, and
  5. General Awareness

Each of these sections shall consist of 25 questions. Each question shall carry 3 marks for each correct answer. The span of the test will be two hours.

  8. Then just pay the required fees for the first year or first semester as per requirement.

The method of assessment of this course consists of the following:

  1. The theory, project, and practical exam. 
  2. The exam takes place twice a year. Assessment is done based on internal and external exams with a 50:50 ratio. In the last semester, students are experiencing an industrial training program.
